Between the Holocausts

During which we defend the moral argument

For experimental mythic hygiene:

Given the horrors of human nature

Holocausts will continue to happen

Different outcomes require different stories

Synopsis

The issue is not “what” you will leave behind, by “who.” You are leaving your “self” behind – your unique experiment (which we all are). To foster a more just and peaceful world takes more than one lifetime, and so you are preparing to collaborate with the future – into the future. You are not simply having a conversation with yourself. A separate entity is emerging – a creature you recall from your childhood. You are here to realise and train your Master of Scenarios. 

What does it really mean to “engage myth” – a vague notion. I imagined changing the story of the golden calf, so that the massacre is prevented. This never worked. No matter what I did, the massacre kept happening. I asked, “Is that because I really don’t know what the fuck I’m doing?”  My Master of Scenarios replied: “No, not at all. Why do you think the massacre keeps happening?” “Because,” I said, “This is what humans do to each other. And no simple act of creative writing is going to wish this away.”
