This is the myth of the son stumbling upon his mother’s symbolic immortality project, The Golden Calf Elevator & Café, and then finding our community. This is a well-known narrative, re-envisioned annually with creative re-interpretations. Completely unprepared, his first visit is chaotic.

Afterward, he feels compelled to investigate, and drives north into the mountains of central Pennsylvania. He is greeted warmly and invited to participate in the orientation workshop and annual festival.
